Vick in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Michael Vick today, and animal and dog lovers around town are furious. If you didn't know, Vick has spent the last 2 years in prison for his sponsorship of a dogfighting group. Here is a summary of his involvement in the dogfighting case: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/20090814_ap_summaryofmichaelvickdogfightingcase.html (The summaryis that he organized a dog-fighting group and helped kill 6-8 "underperforming" dogs by drowning or hanging in 2007.)

Here's what I think of overpaid, animal-abusing NFL players:

Let's hope Bella demolishes it!

I think some of Bella's pit bull cousins should be allowed a few minutes alone with mr Vick... As far as football business is concerned I think it is a dumb move, you will lose more fans than you will gain with him there... i already heard on NPR a local pet store holding a bonfire of all their eagles gear!

And you have no idea how many pitbull rescues there are in our neighborhood! Dog fighting is a real problem in this area, making the whole thing more ironic. By the time I got to the dog store the day they signed him, the store was almost sold out of these Vick toys. Bella tore it apart over the weekend. Good dog!
