The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Michael Vick today, and animal and dog lovers around town are furious. If you didn't know, Vick has spent the last 2 years in prison for his sponsorship of a dogfighting group. Here is a summary of his involvement in the dogfighting case:

I think some of Bella's pit bull cousins should be allowed a few minutes alone with mr Vick... As far as football business is concerned I think it is a dumb move, you will lose more fans than you will gain with him there... i already heard on NPR a local pet store holding a bonfire of all their eagles gear!
And you have no idea how many pitbull rescues there are in our neighborhood! Dog fighting is a real problem in this area, making the whole thing more ironic. By the time I got to the dog store the day they signed him, the store was almost sold out of these Vick toys. Bella tore it apart over the weekend. Good dog!
