Well, although the line was enormous and we nearly didn't make it in (they overbook the shows to ensure they are full) we stuck it out and got a seat in the last row. It was worth it, if nothing else then to see how the show gets made. We were both surprised by the fact that only once did he screw up one of his (involved) lines and need an additional take. Especially funny were the sections where he went to the constitution center and independence hall in Philly (incidently, these are the primo tourist sites in town so if you (J and R) visit us you'll get to see the place where Stephen Colbert was, which is also the place where the founding fathers were). All in all it was a very funny evening.

Welcome to the Colbert Report!
Rachel and I were very excited to find out that Stephen Colbert was coming to Philly in advance of the Democratic primary here next week (Rachel is still undecided by I already told mamma I'm for Obama). He calls it "Democralypse Now". When we heard he was coming we luckily were near a computer and signed up for tickets.
